PCB Design & Electronics

Hardware that works — down to the trace.

From first schematic to tested board. MPRO 9 handles the full pipeline: design, development, prototyping, and integration for electronics that ship.

Four disciplines.
One complete pipeline.

PCB Design & Layout

Custom schematics and multi-layer board layouts engineered for signal integrity, thermal management, and clean design-for-manufacture. Single-layer through 8-layer, controlled impedance, RF-aware routing.

Design Rule Check Up to 8 Layers

Circuit Development

Component selection, schematic validation, simulation, and BOM generation. Power supply design, sensor interfacing, analog front-ends, and mixed-signal layout for demanding environments.

Simulation Verified SPICE + LTspice

Electronics Prototyping

Rapid hardware prototypes, hand-assembled or pick-and-place, for functional validation before production. Fast iteration from first board spin to verified bring-up.

Testing & Integration

Functional bring-up, boundary scan, firmware flash, and integration with mechanical and software systems. Every board leaves verified against the specification.

Firmware + Hardware IPC Class 2 / 3

Every layer
engineered.

Multi-layer boards are more than stacked copper. Each layer is a functional domain: signal routing, power distribution, ground planes. We design them as a system.

  • Silkscreen overlay
  • Solder mask
  • Top copper — L1
  • FR4 core substrate
  • Ground plane — L2

Precision at every
millimetre.

Modern electronics pack remarkable density into small spaces — fine-pitch FPC connectors, high-speed differential pairs, multi-layer stackups, and thermal management all competing for the same real estate.

This is the level of layout complexity we design for. Dense routing, sensor interfacing, tight tolerances — that is exactly where we work best.

Where our PCB work fits

The pipeline above runs end to end, and a project can join it at any of these four points.

Electronics for a new product

A product that needs its own board rather than a development kit — schematic capture, component selection, and layout planned against the enclosure and power budget it has to live in.

Sensor and connected-device boards

Sensor interfacing, analog front-ends, and mixed-signal layout for devices that measure something and report it, where noise and grounding decide whether readings are usable.

Dense or constrained layouts

Fine-pitch FPC connectors, high-speed differential pairs, multi-layer stackups, and thermal management competing for the same area — controlled impedance and RF-aware routing.

Prototypes that need bring-up

Boards that exist but have never been proven: functional bring-up, boundary scan, firmware flash, and verification against the specification before integration.

What comes out of a board project

Each of the six stages above produces a concrete output, listed here in the order the pipeline runs.

  • A validated schematic — requirements turned into a circuit, with component selection and simulation behind the choices.
  • DRC-clean layout files — multi-layer board layout with copper pours and trace routing, checked and signed off ready for fabrication.
  • A bill of materials generated alongside the schematic rather than reconstructed afterwards.
  • Fabrication coordination — design files sent to manufacturers we know, with the quality standards they must meet specified.
  • Assembled hardware — hand-assembled or pick-and-place prototypes for functional validation before production.
  • Verified boards — manufactured PCBs delivered checked against the specification and ready for assembly or integration.

Common questions about PCB projects

Can you start from a schematic we already have?

Yes. MPRO 9 accepts requirements as a schematic, a concept, or a rough spec. An existing schematic goes through validation and component review first, then into PCB layout.

Do you handle fabrication, or just the design?

Both. MPRO 9’s PCB design and layout work produces DRC-clean files ready for fabrication, and fab coordination sends those files to manufacturers we know and trust, with the quality standards they must meet specified.

Can the board be integrated with firmware and mechanical parts?

Yes — integration is one of the four PCB disciplines MPRO 9 covers. Functional bring-up includes firmware flash and integration with the mechanical and software systems the board sits inside. Where the board needs its own firmware written, that is embedded systems and firmware work.

How many layers can a design use?

MPRO 9 designs PCBs from single-layer through eight-layer, with controlled impedance where the design calls for it. Layer count follows the routing density and power requirements rather than being fixed upfront.

Is the board design checked for manufacturability?

Yes. MPRO 9 engineers PCB layouts for clean design-for-manufacture and runs Design Rule Check, so the files released for fabrication are DRC-clean.
